This position is accountable for providing a wide-ranging level of support to the Tax department in a demanding and gratifying environment. This role is not administrative in nature. We are looking for a tax professional to support mainly the members of our team who serve high wealth clients.

Requirements include communication, organizational, technical and process skills, and the ability to prioritize numerous tasks. The right candidate is comfortable interacting with clients and meeting their needs.  This person will be expected to complete tasks such as client on-boarding, on-going client communication, etc.

Holbrook & Manter has multiple physical locations in the Central Ohio region. Local candidates have the option for on-site, hybrid and remote work arrangements. Candidates not located in the region are still strongly encouraged to apply as this role can be performed on a fully remote basis.

Job Function

-Provide support to the tax department in a manner that optimizes efficiency, resources, and client satisfaction

-Process and assemble tax returns, extensions, and estimates.

-Prepare tax organizers and engagement letters in accordance with firm’s policies and procedures.

-Prepare correspondence, proofread, and format documents.

-Work collaboratively to provide overflow and backup support for other team members.

-Perform other duties as assigned by the tax department.


-Strong comfortability with technology with the ability and desire to embrace necessary software applications.

-Strong written and verbal communication skills.

-Superior organizational and follow-through skills with strong attention given to details and deadlines.

-Flexibility to change direction frequently between tasks and between different clients.

-Proven ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and oversee multiple projects while prioritizing, planning, and organizing projects simultaneously.

-Previous background in tax is not a requirement but a plus.

-Ability to operate with a sense of urgency.

-Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as work cooperatively with all levels of management and employees.

-Flexibility to work additional hours during peak periods of the year.

-Experience with CS Professional Suite is a plus.
