H&M offers services specific to businesses involved in manufacturing as well as traditional and management advisory services Our services are designed to help our clients establish sustainable competitive advantages over your competition.

Given our involvement in the manufacturing industry, we are thrilled when Manufacturing Day rolls around each year. This year, that day is October 2, 2015.

Manufacturing Day (also referred to as MFG Day) shines the spotlight on an industry that is so deserving. The write-up on the homepage of the MFG website explains the purpose of the day best. It reads:

MFG DAY addresses common misperceptions about manufacturing by giving manufacturers an opportunity to open their doors and show, in a coordinated effort, what manufacturing is — and what it isn’t. By working together during and after MFG DAY, manufacturers will begin to address the skilled labor shortage they face, connect with future generations, take charge of the public image of manufacturing, and ensure the ongoing prosperity of the whole industry.

Supported by a group of industry sponsors and co-producers, MFG DAY is designed to amplify the voice of individual manufacturers and coordinate a collective chorus of manufacturers with common concerns and challenges. The rallying point for a growing mass movement, MFG DAY empowers manufacturers to come together to address their collective challenges so they can help their communities and future generations thrive.

The MFG Day website mentions manufacturers opening their doors, and that is exactly what will happen on October 2, 2015. Over 2,000 manufacturers across the country will welcome groups ranging from students to business professionals. Many will be giving tours, others will be explaining the products they make, some will be doing giveaways. What an amazing and interactive way to learn more about manufacturing.
