He graduated from Cleveland State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a major in accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s, the Ohio Society of CPA’s and is qualified to perform peer reviews in his various specialized audit and attestation practice areas of expertise including audits of employee benefits plans, audits with governmental compliance reporting components (including Yellow Book, Single Audits, and HUD amongst others) and various specialized industries (real estate, manufacturers, construction and engineering contractors, and anyone subject to FAR cost reporting). He has previously sat for six years on the Peer Review Acceptance Body of the Ohio Society of CPA’s. He also has previously served on the Board of Directors of Legacy III, Inc., a non-profit organization which seeks to empower women recovering from alcohol and substance abuse and mild mental health disorders to achieve greater self-sufficiency. George is actively involved in the Akron Executives Association as a representative of Holbook & Manter, and has previously served for five years as a board member holding various officer positions including President of the Association. In 2017 he was honored by his fellow members with the Robert Freed Founder award for his dedication and service to the Association. In his free time George enjoys spending outdoor time with his family, leveraging his experience, knowledge and connections to volunteer and advocate for our local educations systems and nerding out to all different types of music.
